Why is Mix Fruit Shop

Witnessing the reality of sweatshops firsthand where garments are made with harsh chemicals and synthetic dyes only to be thrown out weeks later made it impossible to look at fashion the same way. I’d walk into mall showrooms and feel completely lost. Everything looked the same, trend-heavy and plastic-based, uncomfortable on the skin and disconnected from anything real.

At the end of the day, I just wanted to hold on to my childhood love for dressing up and keep a little distance from fast fashion.
Isliye, Mix Fruit Shop is here to give you something you can love and cherish for a long time.

Behind Mix Fruit Shop

I come from an artisan community in Rajasthan and started this project as a way to reconnect with traditional craft. It began with experimenting, dyeing fabric with waste from my kitchen and garden, trying out ecoprinting, making mistakes, and learning along the way. That’s how Mix Fruit Shop came to life.

It’s a space to celebrate slow processes, natural materials, and handmade imperfections. I want to build a community around it. Something small and honest that keeps evolving. I also hope to collaborate with artisans, learn more, and keep traditional ways of making alive in today’s world.

Ecoprinting

It is nature leaving its imprint, delicately and deliberately. Leaves and petals are thoughtfully arranged by hand on natural fabrics, each placement a quiet act of intention.
The bundles are then gently steamed and left to rest, allowing time for the pigments and shapes to slowly transfer. The result is not just a print, but a moment of nature preserved. Organic, unpredictable, and one of a kind. It is a meditative process that asks for patience and presence, and in return, offers quiet beauty rooted in the rhythms of the earth.
